The United States must ensure that all her citizens have access to clean water before continuing to waste time, effort, and money on wars killing innocent people each and every day.
A few facts to wrap your head around ….
At least 2 million people in the United States don’t have access to running water or a working flush toilet.
The lead poisoning of people in Flint Michigan from the water system grabbed national attention in 2014. To this day, children continue to be poisoned by lead in the water.
More than 5000 water systems across the country in places like Baltimore and Milwaukee are in similar or worse condition. Philadelphia is recognized as having the worst water. It’s difficult to imagine water worse than people receive in St. Joseph, Louisiana.
Approximately 18 million Americans live in communities where the water systems are in violation of the law.
Repairing our failing water systems is required today. The easiest place to find the necessary funds is from our bloated military budget. Let’s divert a tiny portion of those to the clear and present danger to 18,000,000 American men, women, and children.
